Prescription Diets

As our pets age (and even as they grow) their dietary requirements are constantly evolving. From diets formulated for joint health, urinary tract health, brain health and gastrointestinal health to specialised low allergen, kidney disease or diabetic diets – our vets and nurses can help to point you in the right direction. As a starting point, all puppies (up to 12-18 months) and kittens (up to 12 months) should be on a high quality puppy/kitten diet formulated for their adult size. From here, your pet will benefit greatly from the balanced, complete diet provided by high quality kibble, and prescription diets are often a useful first step in the management of numerous chronic diseases.

Our clinic stocks Hills and Royal Canin prescription diets; please feel free to call in and discuss your pet’s specific needs with our wonderful team. We are also more than happy for you to drop by with your furry friend for regular weigh-ins (with a side of plenty of treats!) so we can be sure that your pet is on the right track with their diet (whether that be for weight loss, gain or maintenance).
