Dentistry

Dental disease is a common condition, with dogs and cats having at least some level of periodontal disease by the age of 3 years. Regular dental checks are essential to detect dental disease early to prevent extractions where possible – these checks should occur every 6 months, with a routine scale and polish recommended every 6-12 months.

We have a dental machine with the capacity to perform quality prophylactic dental scale and polishes, simple extractions, complex extractions and major dentals. We can also treat other conditions such as tooth root abscesses, gum trauma etc. There are some instances where we may refer your pet to see a dental specialist; this would be discussed with you at the time of consultation.
