I graduated from James Cook Uni in 2022 and moved to the Sunshine Coast to be closer to my family in Hervey Bay. I worked for 2 years as a mixed practice vet, and then took a few months off to do some locum vet work on the coast and in the NT – I worked here for a few weeks in December last year, realised I loved it and wanted to come back.

Growing up we had a menagerie of animals – cows, sheep, chickens, ducks, and dogs – so I always knew that I wanted to work with animals. Now I love being a Vet to help both animals, and their people – there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a pet go home feeling better and seeing how happy they are to be reunited with their owners.

I have 1 dog called Tilly, she is a 2 year old ‘Bitsa’ who was a stray that came in while I was working in the NT – I decided to look after her for a few weeks, and then fell in love and she never left! She is very sweet girl who enjoys all the best things in life – snuggling in her bed, going for walks, eating ….and chewing shoes!

In my downtime I like to spend time outdoors – going for a swim at the beach, camping with friends, or a hike – my goal is to climb all the glasshouse mountains this year!
