Amelia Needs – Client Care Lead and Business Assistant

Favourite coffee order: Lawn Coffee’s oat flat white with nutella is to die for.

Hello! My name is Amelia, and I am the receptionist at Hinterland Equine and Ninderry Vet Surgery. I moved up to the beautiful Sunshine Coast from Port Macquarie, NSW about 7 years ago. I’m a bit of a “jack of all trades” having worked in the hospitality industry, dental industry and most recently, the beauty industry. Entering the world of animal care and medicine has been such a welcome change in my life and I truly believe this will be my last stop career wise. I have truly fallen in love with my new position and feel so lucky to be part of the team!

  • My two little dogs are the loves of my life, and I would imagine that is the case for many other people. So, when the opportunity to play a part in the care and wellbeing of people’s beloved animals presented itself, I couldn’t refuse. My little boys are:
  • Fernando, 3 years old (Maltese x Shih Tzu x Jack Russell): He is the sweetest little soul. My napping buddy. Fierce protector. Face kisser and cleaner. Circular zoomies athlete. Emotional support dog. Loves the sound of his own voice.
  • Franklin, 3 years old (Jack Russell x Maltese): My busy boy. Tennis ball obsessed. Protector of little bro Fernando. Morning snuggler. Little explorer. Lone wolf. Lover of ladies (human and canine).

During my down time I like to do …honestly? Nothing! I love nothing more than pottering around the house, Netflix and chilling, eating and playing with my dogs.
